Las Vegas shows!

I love being entertained, and I'm fortunate to live in a city with such exciting and inspiring things to see all the time. My wonderful boyfriend surprised me with both of these shows recently (he's a keeper!), and I wanted to share. Enjoy!

Note -- I don't think Todd really expected to enjoy Jersey Boys... he did it for me. Well, he LOVED it. We are still talking about it and playing the soundtrack constantly. He had plenty of praise afterwards but I specifically remember him saying "the pace was absolutely stellar." You have NO idea how grateful I am to have found a man who can appreciate theatre! I thank my lucky stars every day!

The Joys of Seeing

New necklace

Found in a little store in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I grew up on a street named after Gone with the Wind, so it's twice as nice!

Update on the house

I painted the dining room a color called "Ocean" to match the slate in the middle of the table. I shouldn't really say room.. It's not a separate room, in fact the front door is just to the right of this pic. The table is the first thing you see when you walk in so it has to look nice!

Also, some lovely peach trees are blooming in the yard.

I've been interested in photography lately. My mom and I were in New Orleans this weekend..couldn't have picked a better place to snap some photos. Hope you like!

A very sexy, trendy and sophisticated compilation of ambient music

Everything about this cd is lovely. I got it very cheap on amazon.com and it's been a nonstop cocktail party in my head ever since.

Our home

My boyfriend bought a house in September and I've spent the past 4 months trying to make it warm and cozy. We each had about 2 suitcases when we moved in, so it's been a LOT of work creating a home from basically nothing. That was the fun of it though!

I never thought I'd have much fun with this kind of thing but it's been such a great ride. I feel like I could have my own HGTV show at this point. Creating these spaces forced me to think about color and design on a different level than what I'm used to; it sounds strange but I believe it's helped me as a painter as well.
